As a local volunteer with the Canada-wide Samara Centre for Democracy (www.samaracanada.com), I commend Ms. Cole and all the participants in initiating this remarkable and practical project! When local citizens organize and reach out to other citizens to engage directly in their democracy, the potential to sustain it increases dramatically...and you obviously realize this.
I just wanted to offer accolades for your action. There are many who will say someone should do something but rarely describe the something or become the someone. The Collective team has clearly defined the something, become the someone, and as a local community member I am so very grateful for your vision and creativity. THANK YOU!!
